Can you grow tomato plants with a regular 100 watt grow light and a 250Watt HPS?
how much do the lights must be from the top of the plants? You can either or use, and both of them simultaneously?
Why do not you use sunlight to grow your plants? T12 fluorescent grow lights available at Home Depot / Lowes for about $ 8 USD, you have to use T12 fixture with electronic ballast for light, growing light, which uses 40watts each. Much cheaper to operate.

Can a compact fluorescent lamp get wood on fire?
What is the lowest temperature of wood to ignite and will be a screw-in compact fluorescent less than 50 watts reach that temperature? The reason I ask is because I install 2 15 watt CFL's to a tree cap I made with 1 / 4 "plywood and I fear it could ignite. These compact lamps develops very little heat, but it can accumulate over time if not ventilated. As long as there is a stream, you should be fine. A pair of 1 / 2 "holes in the top of Your tripod should do it.
