How can I cover a large sliding glass door, but still lets light in?

I get an apartment with a large sliding glass door in the bedroom. When blinds are open, you can see just in from other rooms, so I want to cover it somehow, and still be able to leave a lot of outside light in.

There is a material that is sold to "glaze" bathroom windows for this reason. You can probably find it at home centers or bed and bath places. It is also sold in some hardware stores and catalogs with tacky home accessories.
